The Portland gluten-free friendly restaurant scene continues to be fascinating and ever-changing. Some places have closed, some have moved, and I’ve found a few long-time spots that I’ve added.

The map was discovered on the GIG Portland Facebook group a few days ago, so we’ve got lots of new visitors. I hope this is useful to you and also to Portland visitors and newcomers in need of a safe place to eat.

Sadly, Tula’s Cafe, a dedicated GF facility which was located at NE Killingsworth and MLK, has closed recently.

Jouk Li Jou Haitian food cart now has two locations, adding one at the Portland Mercado on SE Foster.

Tierra del Sol, also at the Portland Mercado, is one of those few precious Mexican places that doesn’t use any wheat tortillas.

Pixie, long-time GF, raw, vegan shop has been added—not sure how I missed it before!

After having created a very successful wholesale business, Gluten Free GEM  bakery has opened a retail shop at 140 NE Broadway St.  We’ve visited once, already—delicious!

Tiffin Asha has now gone from an excellent food cart to an excellent, upscale brick-and-mortar on NE Killingsworth, across the street from Podnah’s Pit. UPDATE: Tiffin Asha is no longer 100% GF! They now have a semolina wheat dosa which they told me they cook in a separate location.

Mi Mero Mole has closed its original location on SE Division. They now exist only in NW Portland.

AND… Back To Eden Bakery is expanding to take up more (all?) of it’s fairly massive building on NE Alberta. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when they’re finished!
